TS8b

For teacher sub-standard 8b, you need to demonstrate that you are able to develop effective professional relationships with colleagues, knowing how and when to draw on advice and specialist support

The types of evidence you can use to showcase this are:

  • Changing practice in light of feedback from lesson observations

  • Taking responsibility for own and group CPD

  • Being prepared to participate in trials, new pedagogies e.g. team teaching/lesson study, etc.

  • Playing active part in staff meetings/ INSET

  • Coaching & peer mentoring

  • Team meetings/ focus sessions

  • Multi-agency working

  • Lesson study

  • Seeking support when appropriate

  • Performance management

  • Email messages (tone…)

  • Evidence of team leadership/ collaborative work on specific projects

  • “Walking the walk”

  • Maintaining confidentiality in and out of school

Remember that the evidence in isolation isn’t enough, you will need to annotate it to signpost exactly where/how you are meeting the standard.

You can use photographic evidence to support your evidence for this standard. Be sure to anonymise any student work or data by blacking out names or identifying details. If you’re using photographic evidence be sure to blank out student faces and any school logos.
